One of the joys of being a fitness photographer is seeing new talent emerge. Few people in the fitness industry had heard of Charlie Francis at the start of 2015. By the end of the year he was the UKBFF overall mens physique champion and new IFBB pro. While others talked themselves up on social media, he just went about his business quietly and got his reward.

The day after he won we shot this back workout at M10 Fitness in Nottingham. Charlie attributed his impressive back development to combining heavy and light workouts over a four-week cycle and this feature explained exactly how he employed this tactic to achieve such impressive back development.
